Each year on Average 13 boxers die, due to serious head injuries. After a couple of days after a fight, the boxers die. Some have had to have surgery to remove a blood clot in their brain. It makes an impact for good and bad reason."Boxing is good for young people because it keeps them off the street and doing stupid things. It teaches them hard work, discipline, self confidence, and stay away from drugs. Studies show that in in 1920's there were 233 related boxing deaths, in 2000's there were 103 deaths.. Between 1890 to 2011 estimated that 1,604 boxers have died.It also proves that deaths in and out of the boxing ring has increased, mainly after someone has been knocked out.Compared to other high risk sport there is 3 death and in boxing 9-10 deaths a year from just professional boxing. There are head injuries that happen in other sports such as NFL, rugby, soccer, but the differences is in boxing you are aiming to knock your opponent out. Boxing superiors dropped the rounds from 15 to 12 round, to try and limit long term head injuries. After being knocked out (KO) It can affect you in serious ways. It can affect, your health, short or long term. Frequente blow to the brain can cause damage such as personality change and dementia (loss of brain function). After being knock out by Conwell, Day is taken out of the ring.
